We would like to welcome our new Head Chef Tara Reid to our team and her new innovative  menus, using local farms and local fishermen we aim to bring you the freshest  local ingredients possible. The menus are updated regularly as ingredients  come into season. Our new Autumn menu is available tomorrow (11th September 2015) please take a look.

Joint owner & landlord Graeme Card says “Its been a strange year with the current move out of the gloomy financial climate. I have made changes to improve our overall performance, new chefs and menus have been key to broadening our appeal both locally and further afield. We are now entering into the autumn/winter part of the year and have launched our new menu to suit this change. We are all looking forward to the Christmas period, with new events for all. I look forward to greeting you here at the Hurdles in the near future.”

The Hurdles bar and restaurant sits on the edge of the picturesque Meon Valley village of Droxford, conveniently situated, only a short drive from Wickham, Fareham, Waterlooville, Petersfield and surrounding areas.


The re-modeled historic Victorian pub offers smart dining in a relaxed country atmosphere and The Hurdles interior speaks of opulent style and design, without negating the ‘charm factor’.


We pride ourselves on innovative and delicious menus, maintaining the highest of standards to ensure gastronomic pleasure, with our seasonal home cooked menu, exciting daily specials, set price lunch and early dinner option, weekly changing Sunday menu and baguettes and snacks available at lunchtime.
